When Olivia Frances walks on stage, her infectious energy and powerful stage presence capture the room. Combining ethereal vocals with an earthy, acoustic sound, she calls her music “Nature Folk-Pop” as many of her songs draw on inspiration from the beauty of the world around us. Frances glows in a similar sphere to stars such as Joni Mitchell, Kacey Musgraves and Florence and the Machine.
The Cincinnati native has organized dozens of tours throughout the U.S. From performing at Cheyenne Frontier Days, the world’s largest rodeo, to the John F. Kennedy Center, to Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café - Frances continues to pave her own path. Her music has captured widespread attention, with recent features in Social Lifestyle Magazine and a live performance on WSMV-TV’s Today in Nashville.
Musical from a young age, Frances started playing piano at age six and composed her first song on guitar at age twelve. She spent her gap year between high school and college in Music City to hone her craft and further develop her musical style. Frances credits Maggie Rogers, Fleetwood Mac, and Bon Iver, as musical inspirations.
With more than one million streams across platforms, Nashville-based artist Olivia Frances continues to grow her loyal worldwide fanbase. In 2026, she earned two Josie Music Award nominations: Vocalist of the Year – Folk and EP of the Year – Americana/Folk. The awards ceremony will take place at the Grand Ole Opry in September. Frances has written and co-written over 400 songs with hit writers such as Billy Lee (“The One” by Gary Allan), Kevin So (“Crush On You” by India Arie), and country singer Matt Stell (“Prayed for You”). A highly sought after collaborator, Frances frequently writes with up-and-coming artists such as Haley Faye Rosenthal (“Me Attacking Me”), Rini K, and Hannah Bell.
2025 was a momentous year. Frances received a coveted invitation to perform at the Millennium Stage at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. For the past 3 years, she has been involved in the center’s VSA International Young Musicians Award Program as a mentor. Her music was also spotlighted by AlexRainBirdSessions, one of the largest indie music YouTube channels, where her single “The Sun’s on Your Side” was featured on their Summer 2025 Indie Folk Compilation. Rainbird also invited Frances to record a stripped-down acoustic version, which she delivered with grace.
